Three categories of people can be inducted into the Legends of MMA Hall of Fame. These categories are defined as follows:
- Fighters who have achieved champion status in any weight class in a major MMA organization
- Pioneers of MMA who our board of directors identify as having made a major impact on the sport
- Personalities including referees, commentators, etc. who have worked for a major MMA organization and have achieved a level of notoriety deemed HOF-worthy
- Coaches who have produced a champion in the fighter category
New members are inducted as part of a class that is represented by the year of induction. They will be listed alphabetically on their class-specific pages shown below.
